March for Life just a week away!

The annual March for Life is just around the corner. Every year, young children, the elderly and everyone in between comes from across the country to march on Constitution Avenue to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to protest against abortion.

For the past several years, a group of students from Conway Springs High School joins other groups from around Wichita, Kan., to ride a charter bus to the march.

Most of the 32 students who are going to D.C. this year are from the freshman class, which is when teens from the local parish are eligible to go with the group. Freshman Stephanie Brozovich will be going on the march this year.

“I think it basically shows my faith and what I believe in,” Brozovich said.

This is also senior Sheilah Lange’s fourth year in the march, one of the few seniors who have continued to march.

“I think it might be making a difference,” Lange said.

Senior Alaina O’Neill is also going on the march. O’Neill said she supports the cause and at the same time she wants a chance to

see the world.

“I think the march makes more of an impact, and I also would like to see the Smithsonian while I’m there,” O’Neill said.
