Taught by Nancy Julius fifth hour, Oral Communication (also known as speech) has finished preparing and begun presenting informative speeches. Their informatives must be six to eight minutes long and use a minimum of two sources. “Speech is going well, but I don’t think I can keep on topic for six minutes,” junior Alicia Carter said. There are a variety of speech topics, varying from Miley Cyrus to sea turtles. “The hardest part of speech is that you have to write down what you think on paper and have it make sense,” junior Robert Sherman said. The informative is the most important speech of the year. Junior Justin Haist said that he is worried about the speech. “I’m not the best writer, so it’s going to be difficult for me,” Haist said. |
