Oct. 15, eight students took the PSAT test as a step to their college success. It gets students ready for the SAT. Counselor Louise Ronnau had several different reasons why the PSAT test is important for students to take. “There are several different reasons, but one is that it is the only way to become a National Merit Semifinalist and you could earn a scholarship. Another reason is that it will prepare kids for the SAT test,” she said. Sophomore Bre Akiu was the only sophomore to take the PSAT test this year. Akiu took the PSAT test to see how she would do on it. “The most challenging part of the PSAT test for me was the grammar section,” Akiu said. Junior Miranda Chitwood took the PSAT test to have a better chance to get into college or get a scholarship. “Being timed is the most challenging part of the PSAT test,” Chitwood said. Junior Hanah Jones took the PSAT test because she was in the top 10 percent of her class and figured it was a good opportunity. “The most challenging part of the PSAT test for me was having to read,” she said. |
