The varsity and JV girls volleyball teams traveled to Kingman and Rose Hill, respectively, for another tournament Oct. 1. The varsity competed in a round robin tournament against  Kingman, Nickerson, Larned, Bluestem, and Chaparral, receiving third after losing in the tie for first due to points.

“I think we showed up to play and played really well,” junior Lacey Pauly said. “We played the best we could and brought down the third ranked team in state.”

The JV team went home from Rose Hill with a heavy loss. Only winning against Mulvane, the girls did not move out of pool play.

    “We did pretty awful,” sophomore Kayla Koester said.. “We didn’t play as a team, we weren’t communicating, and we didn’t have the best attitudes.”
