The boys basketball team started practice on Monday, Nov. 13. The varsity team has three returning players, including two seniors: Andrew Friess and Christian Hedrick. Hedrick was a starter for the Cardinals last season. “This being my last year playing, I am sad but also excited to see the younger kids do good and get better,” Friess said. The boys said they are eager to start practice and get the season started. The players are working to meet not only team goals, but personal goals as well. “One of my goals this year is to get better and improve,” sophomore Jack Ebenkamp said. Assistant coach Craig Frederick said that the team’s main focus this year is to be ahead of the other teams in their league and be able to take whatever is thrown their way. “Our goal this season is to improve every day. We are a young, rebuilding team, and we need to make sure we can improve before everyone else,” Coach Fredrick said.
