Business Essentials holds Mad Batter cookie sales

posted Dec 13, 2017, 10:54 AM by Unknown user

From Nov. 20 to Dec. 8, students in Business Essentials learned first hand how difficult running a business can be. The Mad Batter cookie sale was run as part of the class taught by Connie Pauly.

“This project helped me learn the things I need to know to run a business,” senior Kyle Ebenkamp said.

Fundraisers are common in CSHS, and cookies are often a big part of them. However, the Mad Batter cookie sale wasn’t all about the money.

“We all worked together to make a profit and learn all of the basics in forming a business,” senior John Hartman said.

Sophomore Amy Zoglmann said the sale was cleverly named and got the students of Business Essentials to work together to make a profit.

“We decided to sale cookies because we thought we would make the most profit from it. We also decided to make the name catchy to get people's attention,” she said.

This business project offered many learning experiences for the group. They all agreed that it taught them more about running a business and making a profit. With catchy names and cookies everyone loves, Zoglmann said they should have a decent profit when the final results are tallied later this week.
