There have been several new students this year, two of them foreign exchange students, and part way through the semester, Conway Springs High School has gained one more in senior Mya Jewett. Jewett was a senior at Northwest High School in Wichita before she came to Conway Springs. There, Jewett was involved in activities such as AVID, which is a program helping students get ready for college. Jewett transferred to Conway Springs after she decided that Northwest was too big for her and she wanted to be in smaller classes. “I do have a brother who goes here in the junior class, so I decided to go here,”Jewett said. Jewett played basketball for three years at Northwest. “I was going to play here but my knee was not healed,” Jewett said. When it comes to any other activity or sport, Jewett said she was unsure. “ I don’t really know what there is to do yet,” Jewett said.
