Cardinalaires gear up for Fall Fest

With school starting in late August, there is little time to prepare for public events like Fall Fest. The Conway Springs Cardinalaires have just started their practices for their performance at Fall Fest. The Cardinalaires lost a few people last year, but have also gained back last year’s members back with a few new people.

“I think we will do pretty good. We lost a few people but also gained a few people,” sophomore Abby Heimerman said.

Heimerman is one of the returning members from last year. With Fall Fest less than a month away, the Cardinalaires have been working to get their choreography and memorization down.

“Our goals for Fall Fest are to get choreography down and synced up before it comes,” junior Matthias Doffing said.

The Cardinalaires will be performing at the bandshell in the park after the parade Sept. 26.

“I think Fall Fest and the Christmas concert will go well, as long as everyone is willing to put forth the time and effort it takes to put on a quality show,” music director Ellen Kerr said.
