You could be someone's angel

posted Dec 11, 2014, 11:21 AM by Unknown user

Nationals Honor Society gives everyone the opportunity to be an angel. NHS puts up an Angel Tree every Christmas season in the high school office. The presents will be given as Christmas presents to the residents in the nursing home this year.

“NHS gets a wish list from all of the residents, and then we put them on the tree so students can buy them what they want,” NHS president and senior Anne Ast said.

Anyone can take an angel off of the Christmas tree and get what the resident asked for. You must wrap the presents and bring them back to the office. All of the presents are due to the office by the end of the day Dec. 16, junior Tiffany Willson said, so NHS has enough time to get them to the nursing home and passed out to the residents.

“As far as I know, NHS has done it for a long time as a way of giving back to the community,”  junior Kristen Hillger said.
