The winter semi-formal dance is fast approaching. The Stuco-sponsored event will be on Dec. 2; the doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for the photobooth, and the dance will be from 8-10 p.m.

“Stuco decided to change the time this year,” Stuco sponsor Callie Bartelson said. “They wanted a shorter dance and liked the time slot better.”

The theme this year is “A Knight to Remember” and will be a medieval fantasy full of castles and dragons.

“Our Stuco committee helped pick the theme,” senior Rianna Morris said. “We thought it was punny but not tacky, and we knew decorations would be easy to get and would look good.”

There is a dress code for the night: boys should wear something along the lines of slacks or khakis, a polo shirt, dress shirt or sweater and dress shoes. Girls are to wear semi-formal dresses and skirts and dress shoes.

“I’m not excited for Winter Formal,” senior Courtnee Wisdom said. “I have the upcoming concert season and too many other things all going on at once.”
