Photo from Facebook According to a recent poll of Conway Springs High School students, 19% of the respondents were interested in hunting. Although many students here at CSHS hunt in their free time, not as many can say they’ve been hunting since they were 7 years old. Senior Wyatt Curry began his hunting experience hunting with his dad and their family friends, here in Conway Springs, Kan. “I mostly hunt during pheasant season,” Curry said. Hunting with a shotgun alongside family and friends is something Curry said he enjoys spending a substantial amount of time doing. “I enjoy everything about hunting,” Curry said, “except when I get stuck cleaning everyone’s birds.” Curry said he spends most of his time hunting with his dad and his friends Joe Friess and Hunter Huff. The combination of the four keeps them on their toes to be the best shot on each outing. Out of all of his hunting accomplishments, Curry said his most memorable was when he chased a pheasant half a mile and ended up shooting six pheasant in one day. |
