Like usual, fall finals will be held on the last two days of school before winter break begins.

Battle of the Classes, like usual, will consist of a variety of games ranging from board games to physical competitions. Making a return from a couple of years ago, Guitar Hero will be brought back for students to compete in head-to-head. The final activity, the one everyone who attends Battle of the Classes will watch, will be Castles. Stuco sponsor Callie Bartelson said there will be a refreshment table like there was last year. At the Stuco refreshment table, students will be able to get one drink and one snack during the Battle of the Classes. The winner of each game will have their points added to the overall class competition, which seniors are currently winning by 50 points.

“I’m most excited for getting out of school for Christmas break,” sophomore Jacob Winter said.

Something making a comeback this year is the Mr. Cardinal Contest. The last year it was held was in 2005. In the pageant, senior boys will be competing in a series of events, including a talent contest, evening gown with interview and an awards ceremony. Talents will include dancing and singing, along with plenty more.

“The group seems to be pretty laid back,” Mrs. Bartelson said. “It should be fun.”

According to the Fall Finals schedule this year, any student not opting out of their eighth hour final Wednesday are required to stay for the Mr. Cardinal Contest. Students not opting out of their seventh hour final Thursday must stay for the Battle of the Classes. However, students who have opted out have the choice to come back and attend both events.

“I probably won’t go to the Mr. Cardinal Contest; it kind of sounds like a waste of time,” freshman Morgan Koster said. “I probably will go to Battle of the Classes because I’m in it playing Just Dance with Jacob.”
