The Conway Springs BPW will be hosting the Cardinalaires for a Christmas concert Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m at the United Methodist Church. The BPW Concert is the only concert that the Cardinalaires have that the choir is not involved in. The Cardinalaires have been practicing for this concert since Fall Fest. This is a very stressful time for the Cardinalaires. The concert is less than a month away, and they still have a lot to prepare for. “Last year I was very scared at first, seeing all those people watching me, judging me, but when I started to sing, it wasn’t too bad, and I really enjoyed it,” junior Grant Davis said. The concert includes a solo by each senior. Allyssa Davis is singing “The Christmas Song” by Flyleaf, Sarah Doffing is singing The First Noel by Dan Macaulay, Farrah Gilmere is singing “Someday at Christmas” by Stevie Wonder, Hanah Jones is singing “Where Are You Christmas” by Faith Hill, and Tiffany Willson is singing “Welcome to Our World” by Chris Rice. “I chose my favorite Christmas song for my solo,” Jones said.. The songs the group will be singing are “Coming Up Christmas Time”, “Counting Down to Christmas”, “Have You Heard”, “December Prayer”, “A Gift for the King”, “Oh Christmas Tree”, and, as is tradition, they will end with “Silent Night”. “I’m not nervous at all,” freshman Brandon Doll said. “I really enjoy singing.”
