Cardinals kick into summer with tournament

The annual Cardinal Kickball tournament was held May 2 at the Kyle Trueblood playground, starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m. The teams running in this year’s tournament were The Kickoholics, The Runs, Kick It and Quit It, Sidekicks, The Royals, The Hicks, Kix are for Kids, B-team, Bre-Jenae’s Squad and Kick That.

“I thought the tournament was really fun,” freshman Kyle Ebenkamp said.

Ebenkamp was with Kick it and Quit it, who made it to their second game in the tournament.Three other teams, however, did not advance after their first game.

“We honestly did terrible,” freshman John Hartman said.

Sophomore Alex Tarrant also does not feel that his team played as well as they hoped during their game, but he said he is still happy about playing in the tournament.

“It was an exciting memory,” he said.

The third place winners of this year’s tournament was the Royals; The Kickoholics took second, and the winners of the tournament was The Runs.
