On Oct. 6, students of the senior and junior class took a bus to Wichita State University for the Futures Fair. “The Futures Fair had a lot of colleges and a lot of programs,” said junior Chloe Henderson. “The representatives had been to the campuses and were able to tell you what it was like from their knowledge, and they asked what you wanted to go into and discussed what would be the best programs for you.” At the Futures Fair, students can go and explore several different colleges and what they have to offer. They are able to see where would be the best option for them and get details about campus activities and information about degrees, minors and majors. “My favorite thing about the Futures Fair was being there in that kind of atmosphere,” junior Tabitha Stuhlsatz said. “My favorite schools’ booths were McPherson and Butler.” There are many options for young people who have already decided what they want to do or if they need to figure it all out. If you are undecided, it’s a good idea to go to get an idea of what school atmosphere you would like and which colleges stand out most to you and have what you’re interested in. “My favorite part about the Futures Fair was learning more about K-State,” said senior John Andra. |
