The movie starts 18 months after the events of “Man of Steel” when General Zod attacked Metropolis and destroyed the city. Batman (Ben Affleck) sees Superman (Henry Cavill) as a threat, and Superman sees Batman as a threat as well. The movie had positives and negatives. One good aspect of the movie was Jesse Eisenberg’s portrayal of Lex Luthor. I believe he really brought the character to life. Eisenberg had just the right amount of crazy and cunning in him. One thing I didn’t like about the movie was that it didn’t shock me. I’m not saying the movie was predictable, but I just wasn’t surprised at any parts of the movie. I was still entertained, though. It had amazing cinematography and also did its job of setting things in motion for “Justice League: Part One”, set to release in 2017. Though it wasn’t as great as the Dark Knight Trilogy, it wasn’t an awful movie. I’d rate this movie three Cardinal heads out of five. |
