Field of Screams

Last year, Field of Screams, located north of 37th Street on Tyler road, was the scariest haunted house I went to because Clown Town was new and creepy and 3D! Field of Screams and Clown Town go together for a price of 20 dollars. This year, on the other hand, I wasn’t really impressed. I think it was almost the exact same as last year, and that’s probably why I didn’t get scared as easily. I just knew what was around the corner or how they would try to scare us.

There were also no new characters; everyone was the same. I was disappointed that they didn’t come up with new ideas to scare us with. The Zombie Hunt was still there, but you have to pay 5 extra dollars for that part. If you are looking for a first time haunted house or field to go through, I do recommend you do this.

Some things that really annoyed me were the too short amount of time between each group going in, the lack of chainsaws, and not as many scary things. Our group caught up to the group ahead of us way too quickly while we were in there. Maybe the group ahead of us was walking slow, or we were walking too fast, but they didn’t time it very well. I’m a fan of chainsaws, and the fake ones they used last year were amazing; they made the whole ground shake, and it was loud. This year there was only one chainsaw guy at the very end, and he didn’t even do that great of a job scaring us.

I advise you to go to Field of Screams if you have never been to a haunted house before because it will scare you and will probably be surprising for you. If you have gone before it is the same as last year and not very original. All the people are the same, and the line is just as long. If you are going, though, arrive early, and you only have to wait an hour, wait until later and you’ll have a two-hour long or longer wait.
