Going “Into The Woods”

“Into the Woods” is based on several different fairy tales, such as “Cinderella,” “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Little Red Riding Hood” and several more. It’s a musical that came out on broadway for the first time Sept. 29, 1988. It’s all tied together when the characters from different fairy tales meet each other in varying circumstances. If you are into musicals this is definitely a movie to see, as it is very humorous and has an amazing spin on classic fairy tales, with a lot of adventure to keep you on the edge of your seat. However, if you are into thrillers and other genres, this is not the movie for you.

I personally didn’t think it was very good because I didn’t like the ending. It wasn’t too bad, but if I had gone to a different movie, I would have gone to “American Sniper” instead. It depends on what kind of genres you like. Personally there was not enough Johnny Depp in it for me. There are plenty of other movies to see at the Warren Theater. I wouldn’t recommend “Into The Woods”. Rating: 1 Cardinal
