Taylor Swift released her fifth album, “1989”, Oct. 27. Unlike her previous albums, there is not a hint of a country singer in this one. Her album is available on iTunes, Google Play, or in stores. I’ve heard multiple people who didn’t like Taylor Swift in her first four albums say that they love this album. “Shake it Off” and “Blank Space” are both songs off of this album that you may have heard on the radio, and both have been number one on the Billboard Top 100.

For those who like pop music but didn’t like Swift’s previous albums due to the country sound, I can almost guarantee that you will enjoy this album. There is a great mix of slow-paced and fast-paced songs, and each one sounds different than the next. According to Rolling Stone, “1989” has been the first album this year to sell one million copies in its first week, and after three weeks, it sold over two million.

Basically, Taylor Swift is fabulous. I highly suggest this album to anybody that likes music in general, because there is something in there for everybody. I definitely give the album five out of five cardinals because it is perfect.
