Do you enjoy rocking out to some good, quality music? I have the album for you. The band Shinedown released their new album, “Threat to Survival” on Sept. 18, 2015. They are currently continuing their “Threat To Survival” tour.

In the dozen years they've been releasing albums, Shinedown has become one of the most popular and successful hard rock bands. All four of their past albums have gone either gold or platinum. Their newest album is heading in the same successful path as their previous albums. Yet it will be a challenge to top their last two albums “Amaryllis” (2012) and “The Sound of Madness” (2008), which were both featured in Top 5 rock singles on iTunes.

The catchy lead single from “Threat to Survival”, “Cut the Cord”, has been featured in iTunes on the rock singles chart. On Oct. 16, I had the privilege of seeing Shinedown at the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita. I’ve been listening to this band for many years and the new album definitely fits in perfectly. I’m glad Shinedown is one of the actual bands left that still have creative minds and write amazing songs.

I give “Threat to Survival” a rating of 5 out of 5 Cardinals.
