I am usually disappointed when it takes forever for Netflix to add good movies to their lists, but they pleasantly surprised me when they recently added the popular new release “Zootopia”, a Disney Studios children’s movie, to their ranks. Zootopia came out in theaters June 7 of this year and has since received a high score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

“Zootopia” features a world where all animals live in civilized harmony in the twelve different ecosystems that make up the shining city of Zootopia. This animated action and adventure features Zootopia’s first bunny cop, Judy Hoops, as she takes on a tough case with the sly fox Nick Wilde to prove to her colleagues that she is a true cop. Hopps has to go through many obstacles to reveal the culprit that is turning Zootopia’s predators savage, and she learns to trust Wilde along the way.

This movie has a good moral about being who you want to be and how you can be friends with anyone no matter what they are. I especially liked the moral because it relates to today’s society and pushes the younger generation to dream big and learn that there are rough spots along the way and you just have to get through them. This movie deserves the high rating that it got, and I will give it another high rating of five out of five cardinal heads.
