Boys tennis has been practicing for their first meet on March 28. The meet supposed to be a JV meet at Pratt starting at 3 p.m., but it was canceled due to weather and rescheduled for March 31. The next meets are scheduled for March 30; the varsity will play at home and the JV will compete at Maize South. Freshman Austin Gibbs started his first year of tennis this year and had many good things to say about it. “I think I will do pretty good,” Gibbs said. ““I decided to start doing tennis because it looked fun and intriguing.” Another freshman, Gavin Beesley, is also excited to start his first year of tennis. “I feel like I will do good and possible medal,” Beesley said. “I am very excited for the season. I wanted to do tennis since it's fun, outdoors, and I get to hang out with my friends.” Senior Josh Dugan has been doing tennis for two years now and is getting ready for his last season. “I am very excited for this tennis this year,” Dugan said. “I feel I will do better than last year. It gives me a chance to hang out with friends like Farva. I am most looking forward to competing this year.” |
