The Cardinal boys’ basketball teams traveled to Kingman Tuesday, Friday and Saturday for their first tournament of the year. They will have two more tournaments in regular season and three if they make it to state this year. Six teams were at the tournament, including Conway Springs. The other five teams were Kingman, Sterling, Wellington, Haven and Sunrise Christian Academy, according to junior Dylan Murphy. On Tuesday, varsity lost to Sterling with a final score of 51-57. “We can improve by getting everyone into the right spots they need to be to run our plays and get into an offense,” sophomore Noah Finstad said. Friday afternoon, varsity lost to Wellington with a score of 38-54. Varsity also lost to Sunrise Christian Academy on Saturday with a final score of 42-56. “We can get better by working together and trying harder,” senior Matthew Leddy said. |
