The season has already started, and the volleyball players are eager for the rest of the season. Junior Lacey Pauly said she has high hopes.

“This season, we have a very good team,” Pauly said. “We are dedicated and want to have a great season.” She said.

Junior Kenzie Biehler also feels good about this season.

“I feel we’re pretty good and have lots of potential,” Biehler said.

After the first few games, the team has a few things they said they need to work on. Senior Carolyn Mercer said she thought attitude is key.

“[We need to work on] staying positive and not getting down on ourselves,” she said.

Biehler said she thought there was room for improvement.

“We need to push each other to get better,” Biehler said.

The volleyball team has high expectations this year.

“I’m excited to go to sub-state and hopefully further,” Mercer said.

Varsity got third at the Chaparral tournament on Sept. 17. The next JV/varsity game is home on Oct. 4th starting at 5 p.m.
